Can hybrid cloud communications support business continuity?

Yes. If connectivity to Zoom’s cloud is disrupted, local survivability keeps internal meetings running for up to 30 days and allows phones to make and receive calls via a Maintel-managed session border controller.

Maintel monitors the service and activates survivability on your behalf, providing a practical business continuity position for critical communications.

How does hybrid cloud support disaster recovery for communications?

By keeping call control and meeting services on infrastructure you control, hybrid cloud reduces dependence on a single cloud connection. Voice continues over resilient, diverse connectivity during an outage, so a cloud or circuit failure does not take your communications down.

Can I control where my data is stored? (data residency)

Yes. Meeting media, recordings and chat data remain within your network or within Maintel’s UK-hosted infrastructure, supporting data residency and sovereignty requirements. This gives regulated organisations clear control over where communications data is stored.

Can I manage my own encryption keys?

Yes. With Zoom Customer Managed Key, recordings, voicemail, transcripts, and archives can be encrypted under keys you hold in AWS, Azure, or Oracle, or in your own HSM via an external key store, so only you can unlock your stored content.

Does Maintel offer UK-hosted hybrid cloud?

Yes. You can deploy Zoom Node in Maintel’s UK data centres for UK-hosted, UK-supported hybrid cloud communications. This suits public sector, healthcare, financial services and other organisations with UK data residency and governance requirements.
